Training Track & Field Program
Hawkesbury City Athletics Centre provides a range of free training sessions for our athletes across all track and field events. Weekly training sessions are offered as well as weekend workshops/clinics.
Training is open to all registered Hawkesbury City Athletics Centre athletes who are interested in working with our Coach, Assistant Coaches and Officials to improve their technique and build confidence through skill based activities and drills in a fun group training atmosphere.
Our Club Coach is Accredited with Athletics Australia and designs sessions and workshops to meet the needs of our athletes.
SUMMER SEASON TRAINING
Training from September to March is held on a Thursday afternoon and evening at Tamplin Field.
Each week a different event is focused on during the training session.
5pm - 6pm for U6 to U10 age groups.
6pm - 7pm for U11 to U17 age groups.
An additional session focusing on running for our older athletes is also held weekly.
7pm for U10 to U17 age groups for Run Training.
Weekend workshops/clinics are also offered throughout the season. These are advertised on our HCLA Training Track & Field Facebook Page.
WINTER SEASON TRAINING
Training from April to August is currently held on a Wednesday afternoon and evening at Tamplin Field.
Each weekly training session incorporates track and field.
4:30pm - 5:30pm for U6 to U17 age groups for running.
5:30pm - 6:30pm for U6 to U17 age groups for jumps or throws.
Weekend workshops/clinics are also offered throughout the winter season. These are advertised on our HCLA Training Track & Field Facebook Page.
